Golden crescent dough encases creamy chicken and cheddar filling for a warm, satisfying treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - One can of crescent roll dough (fresh and cold)

→ Filling

02 - 200 grams cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie preferred)
03 - 110 grams cream cheese, softened (full fat)
04 - 100 grams shredded sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
07 - Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

→ Finishing

08 - Olive oil or neutral cooking spray, for greasing

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking and promote crispness.
02 - In a large bowl, thoroughly mix shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
03 - Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and separate into individual triangles along the perforations.
04 - Place a generous spoonful of the chicken and cheese filling on the wide end of each dough triangle. Carefully roll each triangle toward the pointed end, tucking sides gently to enclose the filling.
05 - Place filled rolls seam side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly to allow for browning and puffing. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and puffed.
06 - Remove from oven and let rest on the baking sheet for 3 minutes to stabilize the filling. Serve warm and enjoy.

# Notes:

01 - Keep crescent dough cold before filling to ease handling and prevent sticking.
02 - Use a spoon to portion filling uniformly for consistent baking results.
03 - Allow rolls to cool slightly before serving to avoid burns from hot cheese.
04 - Leftovers store well refrigerated up to three days; reheat in an oven or toaster oven to preserve flakiness.
05 - Substitute cheddar with mozzarella or pepper jack for varied flavors; mascarpone or ricotta can replace cream cheese.
06 - Gluten free option available with suitable crescent dough.
