Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese (Printable Version)

Tender rolls filled with smooth cream cheese and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar for a warm, comforting bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 package crescent roll dough or puff pastry, approximately 250 grams

→ Filling

02 - 125 grams full-fat cream cheese, softened
03 - 30 grams granulated sugar
04 - 5 milliliters pure vanilla extract
05 - 2 grams ground cinnamon (preferably fresh Ceylon cinnamon)

→ Topping

06 - 30 grams unsalted butter, melted
07 - 20 grams granulated sugar
08 - 3 grams ground cinnamon

# Steps:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Beat until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps, using a hand mixer for efficiency if available.
02 - Unroll the crescent roll dough or puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Press seams firmly to create small rectangles with no gaps, ensuring the filling will remain enclosed during baking.
03 - Place one to two teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough rectangle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch edges tightly to seal, preventing any leakage.
04 - Arrange the filled rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. For conventional baking, cook at 190°C for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown. For air frying, set temperature to 175°C and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, monitoring for deep golden coloration.
05 - While rolls are warm, brush each generously with melted butter. Immediately roll each in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, ensuring even coverage for a sweet, crunchy exterior.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for a silky filling and seal dough edges securely to prevent leakage during baking.
02 - These rolls can be baked or air fried depending on equipment and preference.
03 - Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for one day or refrigerated up to three days; reheat briefly to restore crispness.
