01 - 450 grams lean ground beef
02 - 1 small onion, finely diced (approx. 70 grams)
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 packet taco seasoning or 15 grams homemade mix with chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder
05 - 160 milliliters tomato sauce or salsa
06 - Salt and black pepper to taste

→ Taco Assembly

07 - 8 hard corn taco shells
08 - 200 grams shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
09 - 100 grams shredded lettuce
10 - 75 grams diced tomatoes
11 - 40 grams diced red onion
12 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (approx. 8 grams)

→ Optional Garnishes

13 - Sour cream
14 - Guacamole
15 - Jalapeño slices
16 - Hot sauce

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 200°C and arrange the taco shells upright in a baking dish to maintain their shape during baking.
02 - In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and onions are softened, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat to prevent sogginess. Add minced garlic and taco seasoning, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in tomato sauce or salsa and simmer gently for 5 minutes to blend flavors and reduce liquid.
03 - Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly into each taco shell. Top each filled shell generously with shredded cheese.
04 - Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and shells are golden and crispy.
05 - Remove tacos from oven and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately with optional sour cream, guacamole, jalapeño slices, or hot sauce for added flavor and heat.

# Notes:

01 - Choose gluten-free taco shells and seasoning to maintain gluten-free status. Drain cooked beef fat to prevent soggy shells. To enhance crispness, broil tacos for the last 1-2 minutes watching closely to avoid burning.
02 - Leftover beef mixture stores refrigerated up to 3 days; keep shells separate to maintain crispness. Reheat beef gently before assembling fresh tacos.
