Ground Beef Taco Cabbage (Printable Version)

One-pan skillet combining savory ground beef, crisp cabbage, taco spices, and melty cheddar cheese for a fast, satisfying meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 450 g lean ground beef

→ Vegetables

02 - 400 g green cabbage, shredded

→ Seasonings

03 - 15 g low carb taco seasoning blend
04 - 5 g dry minced onion

→ Liquids

05 - 60 ml water

→ Dairy

06 - 115 g shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a sturdy spoon. Cook, stirring every two minutes, until no pink remains and the meat is crumbly. Drain excess fat to avoid greasiness.
02 - Sprinkle dry minced onion and taco seasoning evenly over the beef. Add shredded cabbage and pour in the water. Stir to combine, then reduce heat to medium. Cook uncovered for 8 to 12 minutes, stirring gently every 2 to 3 minutes until cabbage is crisp-tender yet still slightly firm.
03 - Evenly distribute shredded cheddar over the skillet mixture. Cover with a tight-fitting lid, lower heat to low, and cook undisturbed for 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbling. Check the center to ensure even melting.
04 - Remove from heat and portion onto plates. Serve hot to enjoy the melty cheese and savory beef with the crisp-tender cabbage.

# Notes:

01 - Use freshly shredded cheese for optimal melting and flavor. Avoid overcooking cabbage to maintain a pleasant texture. A heavy-bottomed skillet ensures even cooking and prevents sticking.
