Tender chicken and broccoli come together in a glossy honey-sesame glaze packed with ginger and garlic flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Sauce

01 - 30 ml low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
02 - 60 ml water
03 - 10 ml toasted sesame oil
04 - 45 g honey
05 - 15 ml unseasoned rice vinegar
06 - 10 g fresh ginger, grated
07 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
08 - 10 g cornstarch
09 - 15 g sesame seeds

→ Chicken Coating

10 - 120 g cornstarch
11 - 120 g all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour blend
12 - 5 g salt
13 - 2 g freshly ground black pepper

→ Main

14 - 450 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
15 - 30 ml olive oil, cold pressed extra virgin
16 - 350 g broccoli florets
17 - 20 g green onions, chopped
18 - 5 g salt (for steaming broccoli)

# Steps:

01 - Fill a large pot with 5-7 cm of water and add broccoli florets with 5 g salt. Cover and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook for 6 minutes until broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp. Drain immediately and rinse under cold water to halt cooking.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce or coconut aminos, water, toasted sesame oil, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, cornstarch, and sesame seeds until the cornstarch dissolves and sauce appears cloudy.
03 - Place diced chicken breast in a large resealable plastic bag. In a separate bowl, whisk cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper. Add the dry mixture to the bag, seal, and shake well until each piece is evenly coated.
04 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until thin and shimmering but not smoking. Arrange coated chicken pieces in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a golden crust. Turn pieces carefully to brown all sides and cook through with no pink remaining inside.
05 - Reduce heat to medium-low and pour prepared sauce over chicken in skillet. Stir to coat evenly. Let the sauce come to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a glossy glaze. Remove from heat to prevent overcooking.
06 - If skillet is spacious, add drained broccoli to chicken and gently fold together with a wide spatula to coat all pieces in sauce. If not, transfer chicken and broccoli to a large bowl and toss thoroughly. Sprinkle chopped green onions on top and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Use coconut aminos to replace soy sauce for a soy-free option; adjust salt accordingly. Avoid overcooking broccoli to maintain crispness. Reheat leftovers gently with a splash of water to restore sauce texture.
