Tex Mex Poutine Delight (Printable Version)

Crispy fries topped with spiced beef, melty cheese, and hearty brown gravy in a Tex Mex twist.

# Ingredients:

→ Fries

01 - 900 grams crinkle cut frozen french fries

→ Beef Mixture

02 - 30 milliliters olive oil
03 - 450 grams lean ground beef
04 - 0.5 medium yellow onion, sliced
05 - 15 grams taco seasoning
06 - 60 milliliters water

→ Cheese

07 - 200 grams Tex Mex grated cheese blend

→ Gravy

08 - 480 milliliters water
09 - 50 grams brown gravy mix (two packets)

# Steps:

01 - Prepare the frozen crinkle cut fries according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy. Keep warm for assembly.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add ground beef and break into small pieces.
03 - Add sliced yellow onion to the beef. Continue breaking the meat up while cooking until beef is browned and onions are translucent, about 8 to 10 minutes.
04 - Combine brown gravy mix with 480 milliliters water in a saucepan. Whisk until smooth, bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer and keep warm.
05 - Stir taco seasoning and 60 milliliters water into the cooked beef mixture. Simmer gently to meld flavors for 5 minutes.
06 - Place a layer of hot fries on plates or serving dish. Top evenly with the seasoned beef, sprinkle with Tex Mex cheese blend, and drizzle warm brown gravy over all.
07 - Serve while fries remain crispy and cheese is melted to enjoy optimal texture and flavor.

# Notes:

01 - Use crinkle cut fries to hold toppings better. Cook fries extra crispy to prevent sogginess. Warm plates prolong serving temperature.
