Juicy whole chicken air-fried with garlic, paprika, and herbs for golden, flavorful results every time.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 whole chicken (1.4–2.3 kg), giblets removed
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
04 - 1 tablespoon onion powder
05 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
06 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
09 - Fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley for garnish (optional)
10 - Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Set the air fryer to 180°C and allow it to preheat for 5 minutes.
02 - Remove giblets from the chicken cavity and pat the skin thoroughly dry using paper towels.
03 - Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Massage this mixture evenly over the entire surface of the chicken, including beneath the skin where possible.
04 - Place the seasoned chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
05 - Air fry the chicken at 180°C for 30 minutes.
06 - Carefully turn the chicken breast-side up and air fry for an additional 20–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C.
07 - Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat to confirm a minimum temperature of 75°C and that the juices run clear.
08 - Transfer the cooked chicken to a board or platter and let it rest uncovered for 10–15 minutes to ensure juiciness.
09 - Garnish with fresh herbs and serve alongside lemon wedges, if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Drying the chicken skin thoroughly before seasoning promotes even browning and crispiness.
