Cheeseburger Lava Cakes Molten (Printable Version)

Golden cakes loaded with seasoned beef and molten cheddar, finished with tangy ketchup and mustard.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 454 grams ground beef (80% lean)

→ Cheese

02 - 120 grams sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

→ Binder and Dry Ingredients

03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 120 grams all-purpose flour
05 - 60 grams bread crumbs
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Condiments

08 - 60 milliliters ketchup
09 - 30 milliliters mustard

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C and grease ramekins or muffin tins thoroughly to ensure easy release.
02 - Cook ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain excess fat, then stir in onion powder, salt, and black pepper to evenly season.
03 - In a large bowl, mix cooked beef, bread crumbs, eggs, flour, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until thick and slightly sticky.
04 - Spoon beef mixture halfway up sides of each greased ramekin. Press gently to create a well in the center, add a spoonful of remaining cheddar cheese, then top with beef mixture to seal. Smooth the tops.
05 - Place ramekins in oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are soft and puffed, ensuring cheese inside is melted and gooey.
06 - Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes. Carefully run a knife around edges, invert cakes onto plates, and drizzle with ketchup and mustard.

# Notes:

01 - Use freshly shredded cheddar for optimal melt and flavor.
02 - Wrap cooled cakes tightly for refrigeration up to three days. Reheat in oven to maintain texture.
03 - Avoid overbaking to keep the cheese center molten.
