# Ingredients:

→ Meatloaf

01 - 1 large egg
02 - 79 ml milk
03 - 5 ml Worcestershire sauce
04 - 60 ml plain breadcrumbs
05 - 5 ml Italian seasoning
06 - 2.5 ml garlic powder
07 - 5 ml salt
08 - 1.25 ml freshly cracked black pepper
09 - 120 ml minced onion
10 - 680 g ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)

→ Glaze

11 - 120 ml ketchup
12 - 15 ml brown sugar
13 - 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
14 - 5 ml yellow mustard

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 177°C. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and Worcestershire sauce until combined.
02 - In a separate small bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. Mince the onion finely.
03 - Add the ground beef, egg mixture, breadcrumb mixture, and minced onion to a large bowl. Gently mix by hand until uniformly combined, taking care not to overwork the mixture.
04 - Transfer the meat mixture onto a rimmed baking dish and form into a loaf approximately 10 cm wide, 20 cm long, and 5 cm tall.
05 - In a small bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard. Spread this glaze evenly over the top and sides of the shaped meatloaf.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal juiciness, avoid overmixing the beef mixture and allow the meatloaf to rest before slicing.
