Crockpot Cowboy Sloppy Joes (Printable Version)

Beef, bacon, and jalapeños slow-cooked with BBQ sauce make a satisfying, smoky sandwich everyone will love.

# Ingredients:

01 - 900 g lean ground beef, browned and drained
02 - 450 g bacon, cooked and crumbled
03 - 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
04 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 60 g brown sugar
07 - 115 g canned diced jalapeños, drained
08 - 360 ml barbecue sauce
09 - 25 g rolled oats
10 - 120 ml water

→ To Serve

11 - 6 sandwich buns
12 - 6 slices Colby Jack cheese
13 - Additional jalapeños, as desired
14 - Crispy fried onions, for topping
15 - Extra barbecue sauce, for drizzling

# Steps:

01 - Add browned ground beef, crumbled bacon, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, diced jalapeños, barbecue sauce, rolled oats, and water directly into the slow cooker.
02 - Stir thoroughly to ensure all components are evenly mixed.
03 - Cover with the lid and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
04 - Pile the hot sloppy joe mixture onto sandwich buns. Top with a slice of Colby Jack cheese, jalapeños, crispy onions, and a drizzle of barbecue sauce as desired.
