Doritos BBQ Ranch Burger (Printable Version)

Juicy burgers with BBQ sauce, ranch, sharp cheddar, and crushed Doritos for a bold, crunchy flavor combination.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat and Mix-ins

01 - 450 grams ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
02 - 45 milliliters smoky honey BBQ sauce
03 - 30 milliliters full-fat ranch dressing
04 - 30 grams crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos, freshly crushed

→ Cheese

05 - 120 grams freshly sliced sharp cheddar cheese

→ Buns and Seasoning

06 - 4 soft potato hamburger buns
07 - Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef, BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, and freshly crushed Doritos until incorporated but not overworked. Aim for an even, sticky mixture with visible Dorito streaks.
02 - Divide the mixture into four equal portions. Shape each into a patty approximately 2 cm thick, pressing a shallow dimple in the center to ensure even cooking.
03 - Preheat a grill or skillet to medium heat. Place patties with ample spacing. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side without pressing, flipping only once when juices pool on top.
04 - Near the end of cooking, place a slice of sharp cheddar on each patty. Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and allow cheese to melt thoroughly around the edges.
05 - Toast the potato buns cut side down on the grill or skillet until edges turn crisp and golden brown.
06 - Layer each bottom bun with a cheesy patty. Optionally, add extra BBQ ranch or crushed Doritos. Close with the top bun and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Lightly crush Doritos just before mixing to maintain their crunch inside the patties.
02 - Use freshly sliced cheddar rather than pre-shredded for optimal melting and creaminess.
03 - Avoid pressing patties during cooking to keep them juicy.
