01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 225 g ground pork
03 - 120 ml onion, finely chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 30 g breadcrumbs
06 - 15 g fresh parsley, chopped
07 - 1 large egg
08 - 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
09 - 15 ml Dijon mustard
10 - 1 teaspoon salt
11 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
12 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

# Steps:

01 - In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
02 - Using clean hands or a spoon, mix the ingredients together until just combined. Do not overwork the mixture to maintain tenderness.
03 - Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty approximately 2 cm thick.
04 - Place the patties on a tray and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to help them retain their shape during cooking.
05 - Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large skillet and heat over medium until shimmering.
06 - Arrange the chilled patties in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust develops and the internal temperature reaches 71°C.
07 - Transfer cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
08 - If serving with buns, toast them in a separate pan until lightly crisped after cooking the patties.
09 - Adjust seasoning or add preferred sauces before serving for enhanced flavour.
