Grilled Tofu with Zesty Marinade (Printable Version)

Crispy grilled tofu infused with a savory-sweet marinade of soy, ginger and garlic for a delicious plant-based main dish.

# Ingredients:

→ Marinade

01 - 1 block firm tofu, drained and pressed
02 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
07 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
08 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil

→ Garnish

09 - 2 green onions, sliced
10 - Sesame seeds (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, ginger, garlic, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
02 - Cut the pressed tofu into thick slices and place them in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the tofu, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
03 - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it over medium heat on the stove.
04 - Remove the tofu from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Place the tofu on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until charred and crispy.
05 - Transfer the grilled tofu to a serving platter and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Enjoy it warm, paired with your favorite sides.

# Notes:

01 - For better flavor, marinate the tofu for up to 2 hours.
