Oven Baked Chicken Breast (Printable Version)

Tender, juicy chicken breast seasoned and baked until golden with a touch of butter and spices.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - 900 g boneless, skinless chicken breast

→ Seasoning and Fats

02 - 15 ml olive oil
03 - 12 g light brown sugar
04 - 8 g garlic powder
05 - 8 g onion powder
06 - 2 g ground paprika
07 - 2 g Italian seasoning
08 - 5 g fine sea salt
09 - 0.5 g ground black pepper
10 - 15 g unsalted butter, diced

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Lightly grease a 23x33 cm casserole dish.
02 - Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap. Using a rolling pin or flat meat mallet, pound to 1.25–2 cm thickness. Evenly rub each breast with olive oil.
03 - In a small bowl, combine light brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, ground paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle mixture over both sides of the chicken and lightly rub to adhere.
04 - Arrange seasoned chicken in the prepared dish. Top each breast with diced butter. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 74°C. For a golden finish, broil for 1–3 minutes until browned. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Flattening the chicken ensures even, juicier cooking—do not skip this step.
02 - A digital meat thermometer is recommended to confirm doneness at 74°C.
03 - Alternative sugars or fats can be used, but substitutions may impact flavor and texture.
