Crockpot Salsa Chicken (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 lbs skinless, boneless chicken breast
02 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
03 - 1 tsp sea salt
04 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
05 - 1 1/2 cups salsa

# Steps:

01 - Place the chicken in the base of the slow cooker.
02 - Sprinkle raw chicken with garlic powder, sea salt, and pepper.
03 - Top with salsa to cover the chicken.
04 - Place cover on the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 1/2-3 hours, or low for 5-6 hours, until chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F.
05 - Shred chicken with two forks.

# Notes:

01 - Cooking on Low is preferred but can easily be done on High. If it feels tough to shred, turn off the heat and let sit for 10 minutes before shredding.
02 - Recipe makes 8 big servings, but it can be stretched to more.
03 - Use the cooked salsa chicken in shredded chicken nachos, baked quesadillas, or on tostadas.
