Healthy Hot Chocolate Drink (Printable Version)

Warm, comforting chocolate drink with almond milk and honey. Perfect for a guilt-free treat.

# Ingredients:

01 - 625 millilitres unsweetened almond milk (or unsweetened soy, oat, other nut, or coconut milk)
02 - 30 grams organic unsweetened cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder)
03 - 15 millilitres raw honey or maple syrup, plus more to taste
04 - 1 millilitre pure vanilla extract

# Steps:

01 - Pour almond milk into a saucepan and warm over medium heat until steaming but not boiling, simmering for about 5 minutes.
02 - Add cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the hot milk. Whisk briskly until fully dissolved and combined, about 1 to 2 minutes.
03 - Continue to heat for another 1 to 2 minutes until well heated. Pour into mugs and serve immediately. Optionally garnish with a pinch of ground cinnamon.
