Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich (Printable Version)

Sandwiches meld golden garlic butter, oozy mozzarella, and pizza toppings for a fun family meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Garlic Butter Spread

01 - 60 g unsalted butter, softened
02 - 2 tablespoons (approximately 10 g) grated Parmesan cheese
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

→ Sandwich

05 - 4 slices thick-cut bread (such as Texas toast)
06 - 60 ml pizza sauce, plus more for serving if desired
07 - 4 slices mozzarella cheese
08 - 30 g shredded Parmesan or mozzarella cheese
09 - 16 slices pepperoni

# Steps:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix until fully blended and set aside.
02 - Lay all bread slices flat. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly over each slice. Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each bread slice. On two slices, sprinkle 2 tablespoons shredded cheese and arrange 8 pepperoni slices on top. Close sandwiches by pairing each plain slice with a topped slice, pressing gently together.
03 - Spread a generous layer of garlic butter mixture onto one side of each assembled sandwich.
04 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place sandwiches, buttered side down, into the pan. Spread remaining garlic butter on the top side of each sandwich. Cook for 3–5 minutes per side until exterior is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
05 - Serve sandwiches hot, with additional pizza sauce for dipping if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Store leftover sandwiches in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave until warmed through.
